Future space station societal impacts

In this paper I would be talking about what impact the space station has on the society and how it impacts the society. The points that I would be covering in the paper are about the exploration of the universe and how space station affects our society’s communication system. Space station is a synthetic structure made for humans to live in external space; so far only small earth orbit (LEO) stations are built, also called as orbital stations.

Space stations are made for medium-term livelihood in orbit for phases of days, weeks, months or even few years, space stations are presently (as of 2007) used to examine the effects of long-standing space flight on the human body plus to offer platforms for mass number and length of scientific education than available on other space means of transportation. (Anonymous, 2009). The start of the International Space Station (ISS) has lifted enthusiasm and anticipations about its advantages for humanity, the latent for the viable use of the space station in particular, has mounted a great deal of attention.

(Anonymous, 2009). The impact of space stations on society is that, these stations have many reasons that bound their long-term habitability, such as very short recycling rates, high radiation stages and a short of gravity, few of these issues cause distress and long-term healthiness effects. In the scenario of solar flares, all present habitats are sheltered by the magnetic field of Earth. (Anonymous, 2009).

Impact of space activities affects our society’s communication system by firing up the minds and hearts of youthful souls all over the place, as the space program of a variety of countries move forward, so too does our perception of the world we live in. Space travel and actions have had reflective effects on our society as an intact. (Anonymous, 2002). In the early years of the 1950’s to the 1970’s, space travel lighted interest in globe beyond ours building new scientific activities and quests for information. (Fogelman, 1999).

Thousands of brood all over the globe began to pursuit for the venture and excitement of space flight, giving birth to a cohort of scientists, dreamers and architects, trying out innovative ideas and fresh concepts, prejudiced by their infancy dreams of space discovery and science narrative battles, such as those exposed in Star Wars which started a universal event, like only to that of Star Trek. Both franchises have formed masses of loyal supporters, all twisted on finding a way to imitate their favorite science fiction idols and adventures.

During the 1980’s and 1990’s space travel demonstrated how dissimilar countries could work jointly for scientific growth, as exposed in the International Space Station lead by the United States of America, the foremost precursor of space travel nowadays. (Lauer, 1996). Certainly, as space travel persist to endeavor forward into the space, so too will the public go after suit, imprisoned in a spell of dreams and fantasy at the glorious heavens away from our miniature planet. (Dastoor & Nicogossian, 1997).

Test examples were set for an experiment that was done to detect the changes that were made in the cells after it was exposed to cosmic radiation and this experiment was conducted by Flight Engineer Sandy Magnus. The results of the experiment were used to develop new countermeasures of the effects caused by radiation on the cells in a human body when taking a spaceflight. (Nichols, 1997). Moreover, another experiment was done by Flight Engineer Yury Lonchakov who wanted to test the reaction of the cosmonauts with reference to the level of stress they faced during a flight to the space.
