The University of San Francisco, founded in the year 1855, is located in San Francisco, California. It is one of the most well-reputed and oldest Jesuit universities in the United States. In terms of its size, it is the eight largest among all the Jesuit institutions while in terms of its age, it ranks tenth as part of the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities. This paper examines the reasons that clearly support my dream and choice of studying at the University of San Francisco and further explains why I might be well-suited, both socially and academically to study there. Very few universities can possible offer the high quality academic and cultural life that the University of San Francisco gives all its students. The faculty is of international standard and their expertise in their subjects can be clearly seen in the kind of papers they’ve written and the immense scope their research study holds.
The academic course developed by these world-class academicians apart from the university’s service learning programs and study abroad opportunities makes studying at this elite university every student’s dream, including mine. The exposure that the University of San Francisco offers is unfathomable. Their mission of equipping their students with the necessary skills and knowledge to be successful people and successful professionals combined with the required values and sensitivity to be good human beings and in turn build a better world is extremely thoughtful and makes me want to be a part of this ‘movement’ even more strongly.
Students receive individual attention as only a few of them are assigned per classroom and these select few are given a chance to be taught by excellent professors.
