Nancy Particia D’Alesandro Pelosi is the first woman elected House Democratic Leader. She was the House Minority Leader from 2003 to 2007, in 2007 she was elected as the speaker of the United States House of Representatives. Born on March 26, 1940 she became the first female speaker, first Italian American and first Californian of United States House of Representatives. Pelosi is the highest ranking female politician in US history and ranks second for the post of US President after Joe Biden. In her first speech she said.
