In order to enhance the educational system, the federal government of the United States has created the Public Law 107-110. This law is more commonly regarded as the NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND ACT of 2001 (NCLB). It is the US’s federal law which reauthorizes various federal programs in education with the purpose of enhancing American’s primary and secondary school by enhancing standards of accountability for states, school districts and schools.

In addition, it also enables the parents to be more flexible in choosing which schools their children should enroll (Stecher, Hamilton & Gonzales, 2003). With the provision of No Child left Behind along with the policy of testing, the curriculum has been affected in a way that most curriculum have been improved. The main goal of such policy is to enhance the quality of education and this can be done by enhancing the school curriculum as well.

Through No child left behind, schools are being required to be responsible in terms of assessment, graduation rates and other essential indicator. Herein, the school curriculum are able to enhance the achievement levels of the subgroups of students that include Afro-Americans, Latinos, low-income students and students that have special educational needs to a state-determined standards or level of proficiency.

Through this law, the educational systems aims on providing curriculum that adheres to their vision of making all students become more proficient by the 2013-2014 school years. By and large, it can be said that the provision of No Child Left behind have been important in enabling various schools to improve their curriculum and adhere to the context of testing and No child left behind.
