Economics Major
I always do my best to reach the star. My ultimate goal in life is to go beyond my capacity and do things based on purpose. My name is Kim Pong Kwong, 23 years old and I have been hoping and planning to be enrolled in a program about Economics Major. I can say that my personal and educational experiences have great impact once I mixed it with a degree best offered by (insert name of university here). I am studying in Santa Monica College and I believe that my quest for learning does not stop. I every stages of my life as stages of growth that have helped me to understand my own potential and the road that I wish to take in life.
While vast opportunities are before me, I feel that my true calling lies in the fascinating and challenging world of Economics. I take one step at a time to manage my skills in a way that will lead to further enhancement and development. Life is a roller coaster and there are certain events where my abilities are put into test which later on taught me how strong I should be. I used to join basketball when I was in high school. From here I picture myself as a person who has an advantage when it comes to socialization with other people.
Playing the said sport is one of my forte and I enjoy every minute of playing with friends and colleagues. It strengthens not only my physical skills but also my way of building teamwork and camaraderie to team mates and opponents. My interest in economics also has something to do with my club way back then. I belong to Mathematics club before and I show undying liking to the subject. It is one of the considerably tough subjects for other people but I believe that determination and focused learning will help one to grasp the complexities of both math and economics.
One of my greatest contributions is being a volunteer member of Alpha Gamma Sigma (AGS). I learned how to deal with different people from all walks of life and consider them as part of my personality development. I also show great interest in stocks and even invest on it last year. Unfortunately I didn’t make it and lost 4 hundred thousand in Hong Kong stocks. Such failure in stocks made me more challenged of pursuing this major and learns more ways of handling the economy without failing. I foresee myself as a successful businessman in the future who faces every trials and deal with them courageously.
I am greatful of every achievement and contribution that I made in my life. I believe there’s more that lies ahead of me. I am an optimistic person and has a flexible personality. I am confident that I can make it to this university and use my socialization skills to make friends. I also believe that this university is capable of teaching me beyond the conventional economic studies. My educational, personal and professional experience gave me more advancement and made me more competent on this field.
I am always highly motivated to succeed, right now I already picture myself going through this program and learning many things about Economics. Choosing this credible institution is the best choice for me because I consider it as early as now as an accomplishment. (Insert name of University here) is one great school because it recruits the best and finest students who wish to major in economics. I believe that attending this program will surely ease the path towards reaching my goals. Now that I realized what goal I wanted to pursue in life, I am working hard to succeed.
I feel that this is the right time for me to take a major step towards my true goal. I also believe that all of my life experiences have been necessary to bring me to this point. I have self-discipline, enough determination, and the right mindset to take any challenge head on. I also have the commitment to pursue and apply the knowledge and skills that this program will impart on me that will drive me through the years to come. I look forward to my future with great anticipation. I know that the time has finally come for me to realize my dreams and make them come true.
